Drew’s life is immersed in wine. Though his training in Oregon was in Fine Art, his skills have been honed at the winemaker’s bench. As he and his father planned and planted Bellvale Wines in South Gippsland, Victoria he availed himself of a science degree and by 2002 graduated in Viticulture and Oenology. In Marlborough he has worked as Viticulturist at Isabel Estate, assistant winemaker at Spring Creek, and in 2007 he joined what was to become the Marlborough Grape Growers Cooperative. Drew has a deep rooted Understanding of the soils and grapes of our individual vineyard blocks. Ten years here has honed his craft (if not his golfing skills). And with this understanding has come a plethora of awards and accolades.
